Privacy and data handling

Your collection is personal. We treat it that way.

This notice explains the personal information Is it Juliana Jewelry processes when you browse IIJJ, create a Collector account, save or organize jewelry, subscribe to a paid plan, contact us, or contribute to the archive.

Last updated September 4, 2026

Privacy at a glance

IIJJ does not need your full payment-card number and does not intentionally make your Collector lists or private notes public. Payment credentials are handled by the configured payment provider. You can contact us about access, correction, deletion, portability, or other privacy rights at support@isitjulianajewelry.com.

Who is responsible for your information

Is it Juliana Jewelry is the operator responsible for the IIJJ application data described in this notice. Some providers, such as payment and identity providers, also process information under their own legal responsibilities and privacy terms.

Information we process

Collector account and sign-in information

When you create or use a Collector account, IIJJ stores an account email address, optional display name, account status, verification state, sign-in timestamps, and identifiers that link the local IIJJ account to the configured identity provider. The identity provider handles credentials, verification, and recovery. IIJJ does not store your identity-provider password.

Saved jewelry, lists, and private notes

Free accounts can keep up to 10 browser-local saved references on the signed-in browser. Paid plans can store cloud library relationships, list placement, timestamps, and—when the plan allows it—short private notes. These private Collector fields are used to provide your personal workspace and do not alter the public archive record.

Subscription and billing information

When you start or manage a paid membership, the payment provider processes the payment method and transaction. IIJJ stores only the billing identifiers and subscription state needed to reconcile the account, such as provider customer/subscription identifiers, product or price identifiers, plan, billing interval, status, renewal-period dates, and cancellation state. IIJJ does not store your full card number or card security code.

Contributions and contact information

The contribution workflow can collect an approved contributor identifier, catalog descriptions, structured attributes, front and reverse photographs, and a rights confirmation. Contact or support messages contain the information you choose to send. Contributor identifiers are used to control submission access and are not displayed on public catalog records solely because they were used to submit an item.

Technical and security information

IIJJ processes limited technical information such as IP addresses, request identifiers, timestamps, authentication events, rate-limit state, webhook delivery records, security audit events, and application logs. This information supports security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, billing integrity, and reliable operation.

What becomes public

Public archive records and approved contributions are different from private Collector data. New contributions enter a curator review queue. If a curator publishes a contribution, its approved catalog description, selected structured attributes, archive number, publication information, and approved photographs may become publicly accessible. Do not submit private addresses, account details, faces, labels, or unrelated personal material in archive content.

Why we use personal information

Depending on the feature and your location, processing may be necessary to provide an account or paid service you requested, comply with legal obligations, protect the service and its users, pursue legitimate interests such as security and archive integrity, or act on consent for optional technologies such as non-essential analytics or advertising where consent is required.

Browser cookies and local storage

IIJJ uses browser storage for secure sessions, anti-forgery protection, the Free-plan local shortlist, recent views, appearance preferences, and short-lived interface state. Saving a new jewelry item requires a signed-in account. See the Cookie & Local Storage Notice for more detail.

Service providers

IIJJ may use infrastructure and service providers to host the application and database, authenticate accounts, deliver transactional email, process subscription payments, protect forms from abuse, and operate optional analytics or advertising features. The current production architecture uses Amazon Web Services for core hosting and account infrastructure and is designed to use a third-party payment processor for card payments. Human support email may be provided through a business email service.

Optional analytics and advertising integrations are not necessary for a Collector account. If they are enabled, they must be configured consistently with applicable regional consent and opt-out requirements.

International processing

Service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, IIJJ and its providers are responsible for using an appropriate transfer mechanism.

Retention

IIJJ keeps information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it is processed, including providing an active account, maintaining subscription and tax/accounting records, protecting security and audit integrity, resolving disputes, and meeting legal obligations. Browser-local data remains until the browser, the user, or IIJJ's local-storage logic removes it. Backup copies may persist for a limited recovery period after primary data is deleted.

Downgrading or canceling a paid plan does not intentionally delete cloud Collector items merely because they exceed the new plan limit. Access may become read-only until the account is within its current entitlement or an eligible plan is restored.

Your privacy rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing depends on consent. You may also have the right to complain to a data-protection authority. These rights can be subject to legal exceptions, including security, fraud prevention, accounting, and legitimate archival requirements.

Until every privacy request is available as a self-service account action, send a request from the email address associated with your account to support@isitjulianajewelry.com. We may need to verify that the request belongs to the account before acting on it.

Children

IIJJ is a general-audience jewelry reference and collection service and is not directed to children under 13. Do not create an account or submit personal information if you are under the minimum age required to consent to online services where you live.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice when IIJJ's account, billing, analytics, advertising, hosting, or legal practices change. The date above identifies the current version. Material changes should be communicated in a manner appropriate to their effect.
