What IIJJ stores on your device

IIJJ uses a small amount of browser storage to keep the site secure, remember preferences, and support the Collector experience.

Strictly necessary storage

Secure session and anti-forgery data may be stored in cookies when you sign in, use protected forms, or enter an authenticated curator workflow. These controls are necessary to provide the requested service and protect accounts.

Browser-local Collector saves

A signed-in Free account can keep up to 10 saved jewelry references in browser storage on the device and browser profile being used. The local save key is namespaced to the signed-in IIJJ account so different accounts using the same browser do not intentionally share a shortlist. Free browser saves are not cloud backup and can disappear if local browser data is cleared.

Recent views and preferences

IIJJ can remember recently viewed public records, display preferences, and light/dark appearance in browser storage. These values are used to provide the interface you asked for and are not required to be copied into your cloud Collector account.

Short-lived interface state

Session storage may temporarily remember things such as a jewelry item you attempted to save before signing in, or whether a one-time capacity reminder has already been shown during the current browser session. This keeps the interface from losing your place or repeating the same message unnecessarily.

Analytics, advertising, and other optional technologies

Analytics, advertising, or other non-essential technologies are optional deployment features. Where consent is required, IIJJ should not activate those technologies for a visitor until the required choice has been obtained. If these features are enabled, this notice and the Privacy Notice must be kept consistent with the deployed services and available privacy controls.

Your controls

You can clear site data through your browser settings. Clearing browser storage can remove Free-account saved items, recent views, and appearance preferences from that browser. Signing out does not by itself erase account data stored on IIJJ servers.
